The balance is due 30 days before you travel. Your vouchers and itinerary arrive by email within one working day of full payment.

eLifestyle Travels is a tour operator based in Nairobi, Kenya. We sell tours, hotel stays and complete travel packages through this website to customers in Kenya and around the world.
Our trips start with Kenya, from the Maasai Mara and Amboseli to Diani and Watamu, and cover the rest of Africa, from gorilla treks in Uganda to the Okavango Delta and the beaches of Zanzibar. We also sell holidays in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the Americas, from Dubai and Kyoto to Mykonos and New York.
When you book with us, your contract is with Element Lifestyle Travel Limited. We buy from hotels, lodges, transport companies and guides we work with regularly, and we look after you from booking until you are home.

1. Who you are booking with
Element Lifestyle Travel Limited, trading as eLifestyle Travels, is a tour operator based at Mercure Hotel Nairobi Upperhill, 10th Floor, Longonot Road, Nairobi, Kenya. When you book a trip on this website, your contract is with us. These terms apply to every booking.
2. Prices
- Prices are in US dollars, per person sharing, unless the trip says otherwise.
- A price includes only what is listed under "Included" on the trip. International flights, visas, travel insurance and tips are extra unless listed.
- Prices from the trip planner are estimates. The price is fixed once we confirm your booking in writing.
3. Paying for your trip
- A deposit of 30% confirms your booking. The balance is due 30 days before you travel.
- If you book within 30 days of travel, or book a day tour, you pay the full amount when you book.
- We accept Visa and Mastercard. Card payments are taken on our bank's secure payment page with 3-D Secure.
- We accept PayPal, up to USD 5,000 per payment.
- We accept M-Pesa and Airtel Money, charged in Kenyan shillings at the rate shown at checkout, up to KES 250,000 per payment.
- You can pay the balance from your account, or from the payment link we email before it is due.
- You can book several trips in one order from your cart. Each trip keeps its own deposit and balance date.
- Bookings and cart orders over USD 5,000 are invoiced and paid by bank transfer in US dollars. The deposit is due within 7 days of the invoice, or the full amount within 3 working days if you travel within 30 days. The balance is due 30 days before you travel. We confirm the booking when the deposit reaches our account.
- If the balance is not paid on time, we may cancel the booking and the cancellation charges below apply.
4. Confirmation and travel documents
We email a booking confirmation once your deposit is received. Your vouchers and final itinerary follow within one working day of full payment.
5. Park and gorilla permits
Gorilla, chimpanzee and some park permits are bought in your name as soon as you book, because the park authorities require it. Once a permit is issued, we can only refund its cost if the park authority refunds us.
6. Changes you make
Ask us by email and we will try to change dates, names or rooms. If a supplier charges for the change, we pass that charge on to you. Cancelling part of a booking is treated as a cancellation of that part.
7. Changes or cancellation by us
If we have to make a major change to your trip, we tell you as soon as we can. You can accept the change, take a different trip of the same value, or cancel for a full refund. If we cancel your trip, you get a full refund.
If a trip, permit or hotel you booked isn't available, we tell you within one working day and offer other dates or a similar trip. If none suits you, we refund everything you paid within 7 to 14 days.
8. Passports, visas, health and insurance
- Your passport should be valid for at least six months after your trip ends.
- You are responsible for your visas. We can help with e-visa applications for a service fee.
- Many countries ask travellers coming from Kenya for a yellow fever vaccination certificate. Check the health rules for every country on your trip.
- We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation, medical costs and evacuation.
9. Problems and complaints
If something isn't right during your trip, tell your guide or use the emergency number on your itinerary so we can fix it. If you want to complain afterwards, email info@elifestyletravels.com within 28 days of returning and we will reply within 14 days.
10. Your account
If you create an account, keep your sign-in details to yourself. Bookings made from your account are treated as made by you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
11. Who can book
- You must be 18 or over to book. The person who books accepts these terms for everyone on the booking.
- We can't take bookings or payments from people, companies or countries under UN, US, EU or UK sanctions.
- Prices are per person sharing a room. If you travel alone, we email the single-room supplement for you to approve before we confirm the trip. If you don't approve it, we refund your payment in full.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.

Cancelling a booking
To cancel, email info@elifestyletravels.com from the email address you booked with. We count the days from the day we receive your email to your travel date.

Refunds
- Card payments are refunded to the card you paid with, within 7 to 14 days of us confirming the cancellation. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
- PayPal payments are refunded to the PayPal account that paid.
- M-Pesa and Airtel Money payments are refunded to the number that paid, in the same amount of Kenyan shillings you paid.
- Payments made by bank transfer are refunded to the account they came from.
- If we cancel your trip, you get everything back.
- Card, PayPal and bank transfer refunds are made in US dollars. Any difference caused by exchange rates or your card issuer's fees is outside our control.
Unused services
We can't refund parts of a trip you choose not to use once you're travelling, such as a skipped activity or an early departure from a hotel.
Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Element Lifestyle Travel Limited collects, why, and what we do with it. Element Lifestyle Travel Limited, Mercure Hotel Nairobi Upperhill, 10th Floor, Longonot Road, Nairobi, Kenya, is responsible for your data. We handle personal data in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
What we collect
- Your name, email, phone number and country
- Passport details for each traveller, which parks, hotels and airlines need
- Travel dates, preferences, and any dietary or access needs you tell us about
- What you type into the trip planner
- Records of your bookings and payments, including the mobile money number if you pay by mobile money, and the name and email PayPal shares with us if you pay by PayPal
- Your account details, if you create an account: name, email, phone, country and how you sign in. We never keep your password in a readable form
We do not see or store your full card number. Card details are entered on our bank's secure payment page.
Why we use it

The trip planner sends what you type to an AI service to draft your plan. Don't include passport numbers or card details in it.
We only send you offers if you ask us to, and you can stop them at any time.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed with the hotels, lodges, guides, transport companies, park authorities and airlines on your trip, with our bank and payment provider, and with the AI service behind the trip planner. Some of these are outside Kenya, for example hotels in the countries you visit, and we share only what they need for your trip. We don't sell your information.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for at least 18 months after your trip, and longer where tax or other laws require it. After that we delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted where we no longer need it. Email info@elifestyletravels.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you have an account, you can also update your details or delete the account from your account page.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies it needs to work. We don't use advertising cookies.

How you can pay

Currency
Our prices and card charges are in US dollars. If your card is in another currency, your card issuer converts the amount and may add a fee. PayPal payments are in US dollars. M-Pesa and Airtel Money payments are charged in Kenyan shillings at the rate shown at checkout.
Keeping your card safe
- You enter your card details on our bank's secure payment page, not on our website.
- Payments use 3-D Secure, so your bank may ask you to confirm the payment in its app or with a code.
- For PayPal, you log in to PayPal and approve the payment there. We never see your PayPal password.
- For M-Pesa and Airtel Money, we send a payment prompt to your phone and you approve it with your PIN.
- We never ask for your card number or any PIN by phone, email or WhatsApp.
When you are charged
You pay the 30% deposit, or the full amount if you prefer, at checkout. The balance is due 30 days before you travel: pay it from your account or from the payment link we email. Day tours and bookings made within 30 days of travel are paid in full.
On your statement
Card payments appear on your statement as ELIFESTYLE TRAVELS, NAIROBI. In PayPal they appear with PayPal's prefix and our name. M-Pesa and Airtel Money payments show Element Lifestyle Travel Limited or the name of our payment provider. If you don't recognise a charge, email info@elifestyletravels.com.
